What is a zero spread account?
A zero spread account is a trading account where the quoted spread on major pairs sits at or near zero and the broker charges a fixed commission per trade instead. TabTrade's version is the Edge account, with raw spreads from 0.0 pips and a $3.50 commission per side.
Is a zero spread account good for active traders?
A zero spread account suits traders whose cost per lot is dominated by the spread, because the spread is passed through and the commission stays fixed at $3.50 per side. Occasional traders placing few lots may find a commission-free Standard account simpler to cost.
What is the difference between zero commission and raw spread?
Zero commission means the broker's cost is built into a wider spread. Raw spread means the underlying market spread passes through unchanged and a fixed commission is charged separately. The two describe where the cost sits, not whether it exists.
How does TabTrade's commission work?
The Edge account charges $3.50 USD per side, applied on opening and on closing. One standard lot therefore costs $7.00 round turn plus the raw spread. Standard accounts carry no commission.
