TabTrade keeps our application as straightforward as we can.
- First, you fill in an online application with your personal and contact details.
- After that, you answer a few short questions about your trading experience and financial background.
- Finally, you upload some identification documents so we can confirm who you are and where you live.
Once the team reviews and approves everything, you can fund your account and start trading. Most people find it quick and painless.
Who Can Open an Account?
You need to be at least 18 years old to trade with us. This is a standard requirement across all regulated brokers, and there are no exceptions.
We also have some restrictions on the countries we can operate in – which will be indicated to you when you apply.
What Documents Do You Need When Opening an Account?
In most cases, we ask for two things:
- Proof of identity: a passport or government-issued photo ID.
- Proof of address: a recent utility bill, bank statement, or official document showing where you live. It needs to be dated within the last six months.

How to Upload Your Documents
You’ll find a secure upload area inside the Secure Account Portal. You can submit photos or scans of your documents directly through the portal. Most common file formats are accepted.
If anything is unclear or we need something else from you, the team will reach out through official support channels. They won’t ask for sensitive documents over email or social media.
How Long Does Verification Take?
In many cases, we verify documents within seconds using electronic checks. However, a few things can slow the process down. Poor image quality, failed uploads, or the need for a manual review can all add time.
If there’s a problem with your submission, our team will get in touch and ask for a clearer version or a different format. Where manual follow-up is needed, the team usually resolves it within one business day.
So as long as your documents are clear and up to date, you shouldn’t be waiting long.
What Happens If You Don’t Provide Documents?
We can only offer services once the required verification is complete. If you choose not to provide the requested documents, we may not be able to open a new account for you.
