TabTrade is a global forex and CFD broker with zero average spreads on major forex pairs. The Trading Tabloid is where we publish our takes on trading and the broker industry.
There’s plenty of trading content online. Most of it is recycled. Almost none of it is written by people who actually run a brokerage.
We do.
So we publish things other broker blogs won’t. When the industry pulls a fast one, we say so. When popular trading advice is wrong, we explain why. Articles come from people who watch order flow and answer client tickets every day, which means the view is from inside the business rather than from a tidy thesis.
If you want a piece that ends with “always do your own research and consult a professional,” there are a thousand of those one Google search away. The Trading Tabloid is for the rest of you.
What we cover
We publish across four areas. Each one is built around a question that broker websites usually answer badly.
Strategy and execution
The gap between a strategy that looks great in a backtest and one that survives a year in a real account. Why most retail approaches break when they’re scaled. The unsexy execution work that makes the difference.
Trader psychology
The patterns that wreck accounts, without the self-help vocabulary. Cognitive traps that show up under leverage, and what to do about them in real time.
Risk management
The work of not blowing up. Sizing, drawdown, swap exposure, and what to think about before you need to think about it.
Broker industry commentary
We’re a brokerage. We’ll tell you how the business actually works behind the marketing, where the conflicts of interest sit, and what most broker websites won’t say out loud.
Who writes the Tabloid
Articles come from the TabTrade trading and operations team. Editorial oversight is from Benjamin Boulter, our founder and CEO, who came up through institutional brokerage before starting TabTrade.
Every piece is fact-checked before it goes live. We cite our sources and link to primary documents where they exist. If we get something wrong, we update the piece and note the change at the bottom.
We don’t run sponsored content. The Tabloid is editorial, full stop.
Three things we believe
Most “low spreads” claims are marketing, not measurement
Almost every broker site advertises tight spreads. Few publish the actual measured average across a trading day. TabTrade’s published average spread on majors like EUR/USD on Edge accounts is genuinely 0.0 pips. Not “from 0.0,” not a teaser rate at midday liquidity. The actual average. We document this on the Spreads page and we expect to be checked.
The broker matters less than how you trade. But it matters
Spreads, slippage, swap rates, execution venue, segregation, and counterparty risk all compound over thousands of trades. A bad broker won’t kill a great strategy in a week. It will tax it forever. Most retail traders underweight this and overweight signal services.
Leverage is a feature, not a strategy
TabTrade offers leverage up to 1000:1, and we don’t pretend that’s universally a good thing. High leverage is useful for capital-efficient hedging and for traders who size correctly. It’s dangerous for everyone else. Most blow-ups are leverage problems wearing strategy clothes.
If those positions sound obvious, they shouldn’t. Read enough broker blogs and you’ll notice almost none of them say any of this.
