KYC stands for Know Your Customer. It is the verification process financial firms use to confirm who clients are and where they live.
TabTrade requires KYC checks to comply with anti-money laundering requirements, protect client accounts, and reduce the risk of fraud.
Required KYC documents
Most individual clients need two forms of documentation:
- Proof of identity
- Proof of address
Additional documents may be requested depending on your jurisdiction, account activity, payment method, or compliance review.
Proof of identity
Your proof of identity must be a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID.
Accepted documents can include:
- Passport
- National identity card
- Government-issued driver’s license
The legal name on your ID must match the name used in your TabTrade profile.
Proof of address
Your proof of address must show your current residential address.
Accepted documents can include:
- Utility bill
- Bank statement
- Government-issued tax document
- Other official document accepted by the verification flow
The document must show your full name and address and usually needs to be dated within the last six months.
Mobile phone bills and PO Box addresses are generally not accepted.
How to upload documents
- Log in to the Secure Account Portal.
- Open the verification banner or profile verification section.
- Follow the secure upload prompts.
- Upload clear images or PDF files.
- Wait for confirmation or any follow-up request.
Tips for faster approval
- Make sure all four corners of the document are visible.
- Avoid glare, blur, cropping, or shadows.
- Use the same legal name as your account profile.
- Upload documents directly through the secure portal only.
- Check that proof of address is recent enough.
How long does verification take?
Clean automated checks can be completed quickly. If manual review is required, for example because an image is blurred or the address does not match, the compliance team will review the submission and may request additional information.
You will receive confirmation once verification is approved.
